Esi’s House of Hope
Esi’s House is a small but powerful sanctuary in Baltimore that gives young mothers—many just 18 to 24 years old—a safe place to land when they have nowhere else to go. Since 2023, they’ve welcomed 13 mothers and 12 children, offering not just shelter, but healing, guidance, and the chance to rebuild with dignity.
This campaign will help prepare their second housing unit so four more mothers and their babies can move into a safe, warm home before winter. It will also fund a washer and dryer—something simple, but life-changing for families with infants.
Your support helps turn an empty apartment into a home and gives these young families a fresh start filled with stability, warmth, and hope.

Why Julius Weems chose to Sponsor Esi’s House
Julius chose Esi’s House of Hope because its mission is deeply personal to him. Born and raised in Baltimore, he’s seen how quickly young mothers can slip through the cracks when support systems fail. His family has spent more than 25 years involved in emergency foster care—opening their home, offering stability, and witnessing both heartbreak and healing when a child or young parent finally feels safe. When Julius learned about Esi’s House, it felt like a continuation of the work his family has always done.
